The glassware is from the Mikasa Alexandra (Frosted Stem) collection. This vintage, discontinued pattern is highly sought after for its elegant tulip-shaped clear bowl paired with a distinctive frosted, textured satin-finish stem that mimics stylized petals or a floral bud.
The Mikasa Alexandra (Frosted Stem) crystal collection was primarily produced during the 1980s, launching as a signature elegant stemware pattern typical of Mikasa's mid-to-late-80s aesthetics.
Because Mikasa operated as a design firm that contracted production out to premier glass manufacturers globally rather than owning their own factories, they rotated styles based on seasonal demand. This specific frosted flower-petal variant was retired after its decade-defining run.
• Alexandria (Fine China): An associated dinnerware pattern carrying the same name, produced from 1987 to 1991.
• Alessandra Frost (Stemware): A completely distinct clear-and-frosted twisted stem line briefly produced and discontinued in 2006.
